
Kitano Ijinkan
When the port of Kobe was opened in 1868, a concession for foreign residents was created. In 1980, part of the city's Kitano-cho area was designated as a special preservation zone to protect these unique examples of period architecture. Around 40 buildings have been restored.
Mitsui Outlet Park
An outlet mall in Marine Pia Kobe. The large mall is divided into East and West sections and features a number of shops selling brand name items.
Suma Aqualife Park
Suma Aqualife Park features a dolphin show and a small amusement park, making it a fun port of call for visitors with young children.
Chinatown
Also known as Nankinmachi, Kobe's Chinatown developed as a residential area for Chinese merchants after the port was opened to foreign trade. The area has a nice atmosphere and excellent food.
